Have you ever been at a wedding, a memorial service, or another big life event, and felt like there was more going on under the surface than what could be expressed out loud in the room? Even though people had spent a lot of time and effort and money trying to honor the occasion?

I Had An Idea To Help With That

Hi, I’m Jana, and I’m the Founder and Creative Director of Whole Heart Remarks. I’ve been interviewing people about their lives for the past 15 years, and I decided to take everything I’ve learned and create a process for gathering thoughts and memories from loved ones that dives deeper than what can fit into a greeting card or even a carefully prepared speech.

at the start

of each Whole Heart Remarks project, I sit down with people one-on-one to conduct audio interviews. I lead with curiosity and ask questions to help explore and expand on what is shared.

from these interviews

a story begins to emerge. Excerpts are woven together. One voice picks up where another leaves off, each adding new color and texture.

the final product

which is set to music and professionally produced, becomes a one-of-a-kind chronicle to be enjoyed and revisited for years to come.
